Working in Edinburgh and at remote sites around the UK we managed the transformer, switchgear and SCADA interface for five new wind farm projects.

Project: Commissioning for a 2 MW tidal energy device
Working at the customer’s assembly site in Belfast we put in place a system of commissioning documentation as well as carrying out actual commissioning.
Customer : Sustainable Marine Energy
Project: Design and documentation for PLC control panel
Taking the customer’s parts list and sketched block diagrams, we completed the design of an electrical panel containing both a PLC system and low voltage distribution. Our extensive experience of this type of equipment allowed us to understand the customer’s objectives and provide draft drawings without needing a detailed specification. Not only could we produce clear schematics and layout drawings and suggest panel components, we were able to understand the function of the circuit and PLC units. This understanding of the system allowed us to design the sensor/PLC connections without needing detailed information from the client and also provide suggestions for the electical design itself.
