Working as a contractor to Sequentec, I produced the detailed design for several PLC system panels used on this prototype wave energy device. Later, I was asked to commission the electrical equipment and cabling during assembly at the structural fabricators in Glasgow. To do this I needed to produce commissioning documents and plan my testing around the electrical installation work, which was still in progress. During this time I contributed to a design review and liaised with the main electrical contractor to make a number of modifications to the electrical system. I also spent a short time commissioning equipment on the completed machine after it was moved to Inverness.
